Day 351-Beer 351 Blonde Bock, Gordon Biersch Brewing Co. San Jose California

15 bottles of beer on the wall and soon one will be drank and then there will only be 14. Tonight's brew is a Maibock or Helles Bock, see Dead Guy Ale for a comparative beer. It poured a realitively clear light amber/copper colour with some floaties and one finger of head that left a minimal amount of lacing and a sticky film on the sides of the glass. The aroma is bread yeast, caramel malts and a hint of grassy hops. The flavour has a bready taste up front with very sweet caramel malts and honey with hints of peppery and citrus/lemon hops with some warming as it has 7%ABV. An okay brew but a tad on the sweet side, 3.5 out of 5 14 to go
