Day 234-Beer 234 Heavy Seas Powder Monkey Pale Ale, Clipper City Brewing Co. Baltimore Maryland

Another brew courtesy my Daughter from one of her flying jobs, this one in Baltimore. It is an English Pale Ale, see Aug 14-Beer 225 for the style's description. It poured a clear copper colour with adequate head that settled to a small ring around the edge of the glass.  The aroma although not strong had hints of caramel malts and some piney hops. The flavour is quite sweet up front, lots of malts followed by a nice balance of citrus and piney hops. Overall a good beer for its style but nothing outstanding as it not one of my favourite types of beer. 3.7 out of 5
